Re: 1A 30-30 with Circassian wood
here is the lipsey certificate, not aware of any with that checkering pattern. However, I have a 1H 405 win with that pattern, so it's likely the factory just using up leftover wood from previous runs... Thanks! I probably would have eventually looked up the Lipsey authentication, but thought I'd a...

Re: 1A 30-30 with Circassian wood
Are you sure that's circassian? Looks like fairly strait grained black walnut. Does the forearm also have Boddington checkering? I saw a .460 S&W recently that had Boddington checkering on the forearm and standard checkering on the wrist. Chet15 No, I'm not sure it's circassian and also suspect...

1A 30-30 with Circassian wood
Anyone know what the approximate production of the blued 1A 30-30 (model 11346) was, and how many may have left the factory with Circassian wood and more extensive checkering? I believe this was a Lipsey offering, but may be wrong.

Re: ruger 1 front sight

Those were slotted for a hood, and are solidly in the unobtanium category. I can on...

Re: Ruger number 1A in 30/06 with a 24 inch medium weight barrel?
Yes they did a run (or two?) of these with 24" B-weight barrels a few years ago. In my opinion, a much more desirable configuration than the thin 22" A-weight.
