A group letter to Magpul
Anyone (everyone) up for a letter to Magpul for their excellent magazines made to fit Ruger Mini-14 style guns? Hey now, there are millions of these fine rifles out there, plus the foreign markets. So why not take advantage? Remember, the first poly mag that hits the market (and WORKS) umm.... Wins....

Re: Medallion colors
...the drawing (AS) is what they wanted, the vendors sent what they actually made up, and each one did it differently....... - so in theory then, every medallion style except one, may in fact be a "close enough for a Ruger" non-compliant design accepted by extremely flexible purchasing an...

Re: Medallion colors
8-) it (finally) dawned on me that the medallions were always quite different than the registered trademark(s), aside from a general resemblance in theme. I'm left wondering if a factory "historian" might actually have a stack of engineering drawings (blueprints to Californians) for each m...

Re: Although Collections...
What does the original head stamp look like for 375 Ruger? Is there a difference than the Hornady 375 Ruger stamp we see now? I don't know about the 375R. Hornady loaded 480R initially with the "475 Ruger" headstamp (325 grain with brass-colored primers). I found three hundred of these, a...

Re: Although Collections...
I would opine that no Ruger collection is "complete" (nor even started) without a gun chambered in the Ruger proprietary calibers - 204 Ruger, 480 Ruger, 375 Ruger, 416 Ruger, etc. Don't forget the ammo with Ruger on the boxes, including the original 475 Ruger headstamp on the Hornady ammo...

Re: Sleeping, when did ruger come out with Target Bearcats?
A couple-three years ago. The first one was awarded to John Taffin.he had been suggesting such a configuration to the execs for several years.
I thought they would surely offer a WRFM version with the new gun, but it hasn't happened yet...

Re: Thoughts from the collective - Super Redhawk
I don't know how this turned out, but two shows inn march convinced me any (non-abused) Redhawk under $1000 is worth a look. And a SRH under 1200-ish is not out of line... Prices ever go down?
That said, the loads above may mean a pass to me. It's just a machine. Fools can break machines.

Re: How late into 1988 did Ruger make Six Series revolvers?
IIRC, the Security Six was the first to be cancelled, with the Service Six closely behind. The short-barrelled Speed Six was the last to be made, with the last meaningful engineering revisions made in 1984. Subsequent changes were largely cosmetic options. The last Speed Sixes came in waves, with mo...

Re: FYI for Maxi owners/collectors
Consecutive pairs are hard to find when looking, but don't necessarily double pricing IMO. I passed on a 7" SRM a couple of weeks ago at the gun show, the seller wanted $1050, which I thought was fair. But it was unfired and no shipper box (not a big deal to me, I'm not a collector). This pair ...
