Re: Ruger Auctioned Speed Six

Seems like there were three serious bidders in the end. As to the price look at what the money is used for. Sometimes the Cause trumps the Cost! Just saying ;) Terry I've seen a couple from that auction go that high too. Maybe the buyers consider it a contribution with a nice revolver as a bonus.

Re: service six gs-84 nycpd value

Thanks, Ron. I've got a NYCPD GS-83 so I know about the star. The gun I'm looking at falls in the NYCPD contract serial number range (162-411XX) and has a factory DAO knurled(top)hammer. The seller had posted a lot of photos but none with the cylinder open so I could see where the star is. I contact...

service six gs-84 nycpd value

Correction: GF-84. What would be a fair price for a NYCPD 4" 38spl stainless in very good/excellent condition w/no box or papers?

Re: Ruger auction Speed Six GS-82 /$2000 w/six days left

They already have a current bid of $2000 with six days left. A good cause for sure. I often see some crazy starting bids on GB but this is an actual bid. I thought I may have been missing something, thanks Ron

Ruger auction Speed Six GS-82 /$2000 w/six days left

I'm not a serious collector and that is probably why I don't understand why this gun is selling so high. I know it was part of the Ruger collection in Southport and is unfired. Other than that is there something rare or unusual about this gun that makes this gun sell so high? I thought it was a fair...

How late into 1988 did Ruger make Six Series revolvers?

Does anyone know what month in 1988 Ruger actually stopped production of the six series revolvers? What's the highest serial number you've seen on one. I'm curious how close to the end my Speed Six (GS-83) was manufactured. It was produced June 1988 and shipped in December 1988 per Ruger letter. The...

Re: Ruger Letters

I sent a letter request and check on May 12th. I received the letter last week around July 20th. I live in Connecticut and we have very few Covid cases compared to April.
