Re: To reblue, or not to reblue. That is the question.

Hey Rick, I have been told that a collectible gun can retain up to 90 percent of its value if the re-blue is professionally done. I bought a Red Eagle 1A that had been re-blued at Ruger. It looks real good and I am very happy with it at a fair price. I also have a P-38 and an Artillery Luger that we...

Re: Old Model .41 Blackhawk

Hey radical rod,

It is a one piece hinged box. I think it may have inherited the new box and later edition of the manual when it went in for the transfer bar mod. The new manual talks about the transfer bar and there is a note in the box as to where the old parts are stashed.

Old Model .41 Blackhawk

I have found a .41 Cal Blackhawk for sale. S/N is 1004. Seems to be unfired with only light rub marks from a holster on front of cylinder. Depending on source it is a 1965 or 1966 gun. Has a bag of parts from a transfer bar conversion and there is even a reference in the owners manual (which is date...

Re: Red Eagle 3358 heading home

Nice type II Red Eagle. That is the second rarest type with about 450 of them out there. Bolt in the white checks out with recoil spring support and flat top bolt stop. Grip has escutcheons. Now the big question! Is the magazine all blue or white at the top 1/2 inch on the sides. Hope its a white to...

It is a quote from the movie "Blazing Saddles." Just referring to how much the above big calibers are going to hurt.

Re: Red eagle auction

I can remember watching a Red Eagle around serial number 145 run up to $2700+ a couple of years ago. Glad I passed on it. My Red Eagle 3XX, which is also an Oct 1949 production for way less than half that amount was the better deal. When I look through the Red Eagle News, these versions go for much ...

Re: Three Digit Serial Number

That is a nice Version 1 Red Eagle. I have one almost as low at 384. Not sure if you have others for sale. Your post said "pistols." I have been looking for a Red Eagle Version 4 for some time. It is the last piece of the puzzle that I hope makes a pretty nice display for shows. As you alr...
