Re: 1949-1999 50th Anniversary M77 Mark II rifle ???

I've not seen a rifle like you described, but I have one of the 1 of 1000 264 win mags made in 1998 for the 50th anniversary. It's a KM77RP M77 Mark II stainless with zytel stock and engraved floorplate serial number 786-67559. I think they were made for GO Sportsmen and AcuSport.

Outdoor Life Article on Intro of M77

Thanks for the info regarding the 1969 catalog. When I started collecting Ruger catalogs, I picked 1968 as the starting point for my collection. The 69 was easy to find, but after many years, I still haven't acquired a 68 catalog. I picked 68 because I always assumed the 68 introduced the M77. Does ...

Re: Outdoor Life Article on Intro of M77

Chet15, here's page one of the article in the September 1968 issue of Outdoor Life. The wood looks nice and sure enough it has the vertical split rings.

Outdoor Life Article on Intro of M77

Thanks all. I've bought stuff from Vintage Ads before, I just didn't think about them. I do appreciate the help and link. If I display my 77's again, the magazine will look better opened on the display table than 7 sheets of paper.

Outdoor Life Article on Intro of M77

I found the same thing, it's a little less than $12 including shipping. But looking online I found every Outdoor Life Magazine for 1968, except for December. And some of the magazines were less than that. I just don't know what month contains the article. Be my luck it's December. Thanks for trying ...

Outdoor Life Article on Intro of M77

In 1968 Jack O'Connor wrote an article about the M77 rifle. Can anyone tell me what month it appeared in Outdoor Life 1968 magazine?

Re: M77 mkii bolt face question

Here's 2 photos of a couple of bolts from 2 of the 10 or so MK ll Express Rifles I've owned. Of the 10 rifles, 3 were push feed and 7 were controlled feed, They were all made between 1992 and 2002. I've owned 1 other MK ll that was a stainless Zytel stocked 264 made in 1999. It was controlled feed....

Winter issue of ROCS Digest

I'm confused, which is normal. I've been receiving 2 ROCS digest a year. One is for spring and the other is for fall. I received the 2021 fall digest marked Volume 8 Issue 2 long enough ago that I can't recall when I received it. I received the Summer Report with Jack O'Connor on the cover 5 days ag...
