I actually bought a 1968 44R in very good condition for $850/no box. Price on that gun seems reasonable if it is in the condition stated.

I am trying to find out if the 96/44 was ever made with a heavy rubber butt plate and a 1:20 twist that is supposed to be aimed at big game.Is this factory or after market? Can't find anything in old catalogs and have never seen this before.
