Re: Rugers/Made in China?

Another interesting find, just goes to show when something is successful everyone wants a piece of the action. If I remember Don, you wrote an article in the RCA Journal years back about another copy of a MKII you ran across at the Shot Show.

Not so far, yet another item to keep my out for. My guess is originally they didn't make the amount they needed and placed a new order for them, maybe by another manufacturer. The boxes were an option that if I remember right cost around $100.

Re: 1976 Colorado Centennial Survey ***Need Help***

I did some looking around and so far from what I've seen the lowest silver one is 13021, highest is 15282. How high is the S/N on your other one?

Marksman, mine has the gold script, semi early S/N 0874. Interesting, that's one thing about Ruger collecting, the variations are endless.

Ron, I sold one of the 7 1/2" (no box or accessories) a couple of months ago for $800. Wish I knew you were looking.

Jeff Quin GP100

Looks like Lipsey's is offering a tribute GP100 to Jeff Quinn in .44 Special. I'm definitely not going to complain about the amount of firearm models Ruger is introducing, regardless what you decide to collect Ruger the possibilities are endless and ongoing. Re: Early RSS4

Very nice specimen, always nice to run across on in such great shape. Now to put a box with it, stags look great and Bill IMO is a true hero to the Ruger collecting community for his knowledge and willingness to help anyone.
