Colorado Gun Collectors Show

This is the only pic I had time to take of the ROCS display by Lee and Don at the show. It was a VERY good show!

Re: Boise Show Pictures

X1RUGER, Thanks for your interest. First I must say THANKS to ROCS and Hank & Susie for the great show. It really is something to look forward to. Lots of nice displays there - I would be glad to comment about mine. The first one titled "Two of a Kind" has the Ruger No.1-S 7 m.m Mag se...

Re: Ronnie Burke 1954-2014

ENU is correct about the Denver Show. That's where I first saw the serial number 4 M77RS that Ronnie had there. Also in attendance (I think) besides KD was Phil Hardin from Illinois with his 200 Year collection. I lived in Denver at the time so it wasn't much of trip for me but I remember Ronnie say...

Ronnie Burke 1954-2014

Ronnie Burke 1954-2014. Best known to Ruger Collectors as the author (and Publisher) of the book on Ruger M77 from 1983. He once told me he would never do another book. He was a rancher, a writer and in 1976 established Burke's Convenience Store in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. He organized the first NRA Ba...

Re: Ruger Orvis

I'll have to agree with Ruger No.1. I've seen (pics) of others with similar features 12 & 20's. Also English stocked 12's. Others "in the serial number range" have standard Red Label features. Not sure of the prototype status and you are right - the serial number is way earlier than mo...

Re: More NRA 2014

Thanks for the pics, Don! Very nice. I heard (from the auctioneer) that the dinner and auction were the most fun you can have with.....well you know. The Ruger Shotgun display won the Best of Show. Congrats! See you in Denver!

Ruger Orvis

This is my first post since joining in June. This seems like the proper place to put pictures of my Ruger Orvis shotgun. It is a 20 gauge with screw in chokes (the First shotgun with them) in 26" barrels. The leather covered butt pad is factory as well as the quail in the forearm. Other feature...
