Vaughn, I bought one in Tulsa once that would letter as an "R", twice. Not only that but it was listed as a 358 Win. Mag.!

Tyler, They were made in the 80's or 90's for foriegn governments that don't allow guns in military cartridges (,223). Should be a Ranch and have a "Sporter" stock with a plastic butt plate. Been awile since I've seen one so I think I'm stateing this right. Randy

Here is my entry (the only picture I have) Rifle is No.1-S 7 Mag (early 130- prefix) with Weaver 4x scope. Deer is a white tail 5x6 I got in 1978 shortly after acquiring the rifle. This was taken in the Hamby Saddle area of the Selway.

Rick, After looking at the pictures (thanks for them BTW) I would say you have a First Year rifle with a very cool number - 555. It has been rebarreled as I haven't seen any others with that roll mark for the caliber. It was done a long time ago evidenced by the Unertl blocks that were installed to ...

Lee, I gave up a long time ago trying to draw a big buck hunt. Congrats to you for sticking it out for 20 years! I'm sure pics will be forthcoming. This was the last decent buck I got back in 1978.
