I don't know if Bill Lett received Blackhawk 44 Magnum serial number 24, but I have serial number 7777 that was shipped to him in October 1958.

Long barreled Blackhawk 44 Magnums are my favorites and great to shoot. I have one I shoot regularly and it is the most accurate 44 Magnum I own.

The article by Chad Hiddleson on the New Model Flattops in the latest Red Eagle News Exchange is a very informative read. I enjoyed it very much and it continues to demonstrate what a great value this publication is to Ruger collectors.

Regarding letters, I received one on an early .22 pistol at the end of January 2021. It took about four weeks from the time I mailed the request and check.

The replica presentation cases for the Super Blackhawk are superb!
