Re: Research
Here is what is on the Ruger web site: Due to personnel changes, we are unable to process requests for letters of authenticity at this time. We anticipate being able to resume this service in June. Requests received in the interim will be held and processed in the order received once service is resu...

Another for the collection
Just got a gem for the collection. Chad says only 500 were made. It's a RDA-86 (Security Six, low back, 6", blue, .38 special). I'll get pictures up as soon as I can.

Re: 357 Redhawk
Well, I perused the RENE Reference of Ruger Firearms and it looks like they just made the SS versions, KRH355 (5.5") and KRH35 (7.5"). I know the .357's are pretty highly sought after, but I don't know if any collects them in particular since there are only two models. I also not sure if t...

Re: Finished my NYCPD Collection (I think)
Well, Terry T reminded me that I need to add a KSPNY to the collection. Actually, there are two finishes on the KSPNY, the matte and a brushed with the brushed being VERY rare. So....Will keep looking (the fun of collecting )

Re: Good news for DA collectors
According to RENE NYCPD only bought 500 of the Spurred, 4", .38 Spl Stainless so to get one of those I'm sure will cost some money (but I'm ready ).

Re: Good news for DA collectors
My GPNY 4" is the DAO model with the matte finish. When I got it you could see where someone tried to polish it but didn't do a good job. I called Ruger to find out if they shipped them polished or should it be matte. They had me send it back to them and they restored it to just like it left th...

I bought it. It now makes a pair I have, a GPNY-841 and the GPNY-831. I also have NYCPD Police Service Sixes in both 3 and 4 inch stainless.

Re: Favorites??
I'm glad you said "Favorites" not favorite. My favorites are my Six series guns although I really, really like my GP100's also (have about 53 Six series and up to 7 GP's now). Right now my carry guns rotate between a SR9c, SP101 with Crimson Trace, LCR .38+P, LCP, and once reliability is d...
