Re: Ruger Mini 30
Thanks Guys, Besides the Ulti-Mak forward rail with a Burris 2.7x long eye relief scope and the Accuracy Systems barrel brace, here are some other improvements: A shock buffer guiets the action a bit and prevents shock damage to the receiver. As you may know, a stock mini 30 slings brass into the ne...

Re: Blackhawk 3 screw value?
Hi Ron, Thank you for the tips. I suspect they are plastic and were added as the walnut grips in the box with the logo are probably original. The ivory description was mine, not the seller's, and I misspoke. He also is offering some long guns and a 3-screw Blackhawk in .357 but will only sell bundle...

Re: Blackhawk 3 screw value?
Thanks OM.
Under the circumstances I would only go for it if it had collector value.

Re: Newbie in LA County
Thanks, Bennet. Now that we are obliged to stay home I have a lot of time on my hands but I will try not to pester you folks too much. While I have to put a hold on collecting until this blows over, I still look for interesting guns on the internet and learn to wait. I wonder what impact the whole t...

Blackhawk 3 screw value?
There is an old style 3 screw Blackhawk in 30 carbine with a yellow box available locally. Has ivory grips with separate wood ones and looks like an 8" barrel. Don't have sn. What is an approximate value, please?

Re: Newbie in LA County
Thanks! Happy to be here (happy to be anywhere).
Looking forward to learning and sharing.
Not a hunter, though, just can't shoot critters any more.
I love the synthesis of wood and blue steel that is embodied in a fine old Ruger and the way they feel in-hand.

Newbie in LA County
Hello, Recently started collecting Ruger carbines building off an early 1961 (3 digit sn) 44 Carbine I got from a friend. Like Bill Ruger, I am partial to mannlicher stocked guns so I have added an early 1966 10/22X International and a 1985 M77 RSI in 250 Savage. They are VG to EXC shooters and I ho...
