Re: 1946 Purchase Order
Brass Frame the frames for the drills & pistols are 2 stampings that are welded together making 1 unit. Considering that the closest competitors (Colt & High Standard) machined their frames from a solid block of steel using over 100 different operations there is no comparison. The slide on a...

Re: 1946 Purchase Order
I see in the heading that "Ruger Automatic Pistols" are mentioned. That must have been a thought at that time. Just picked up a Ruger hand drill with the pistol grip & it is very interesting indeed.

Re: Biulding custom 10/22's
The Military Carbine you made up would look good with a BX15 or BX25 magazine or even a BX25x2. The 10/22 takedown is nice to keep in a vehicle for a "You Just Might Need It" rifle. I like tinkering with my stuff to make it into something my own.

Re: Biulding custom 10/22's
Very nice assortment Highstandardguy! I have tinkered with a few 10/22's to make them more suited for different things. Put a stainless action & barrel in an International stock to make a nice rifle. Also put a BX22 trigger in one of the Walmart special 10/22 stainless rifles with the 22" b...

some that got away
I know we all have Ruger regrets & I was thinking of the ones that slipped through one way or another. One was a well worn Type 1 Red Eagle with a 4 digit serial number 022x... The bluing was gone for the most part & the diamonds on the grips were worn smooth. It had the square chamber but I...
