Texas Whitetail

Post by d findley »

The latest to fall from Lee Newton's Joe D. Clayton No. 1 280 Ackley Improved (S/N 10). Saturday November 23, 2019 Lee took this huge Texas WT buck. Congratulations!! (After several tries not sure why this pic insists on posting sideways) Left click on pic to get a straight shot.

Don and Lee, You sure grow them big in TEXAS? I think I see a double drop tine on the fight side of the deer? Very unusual.
What ammo and bullet weight did you shoot and the distance? Great wall hanger Lee.

What appears to be the longest drop tine is actually coming of the G-2. Only one drop. Using Nosler 160 grain Partitions; only round I have shot in this rifle yet and it shoots very well. 170 yards.
