Don I have Gun Digest Annuals from the early 1950's that mention chrome plating for $7.50 more. I know there was a wheel of RST6's that were chromed. I wonder how many actual chrmoed pistols made it to people outside? I can see the interest from trappers and outdoorsmen.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Very few, if any plated auto pistols were marketed. Two chrome plated RST4s were given to the ambassador from Brazil. Two were given to Alex's Sturm's dad. I don;t know of any plated Mark Is in private collections.
