Mark 1 with type 1 red eagle grips

Post by rpm enterprises »

Ruger T678 Mark 1. Serial number 72xxx. This gun has tapered ear bolt that is correct for serial number range. The odd feature is it has type 1 red eagle grips. Seller said it was an employee gun and it was shipped from Connecticut to me. Would like to know the story behind this one.

Congratulations! A great score.

The ad didn’t even mention the box. Double score.

WOW!!! That looks in pristine condition. You have a keeper there.

Yes indeed… there’s just something about those red eagles and chrome escutcheons Image

I agree with both of you. I bought this one just for the grips. Those grips are about as rare as hens teeth.
