Had this old worn out 4 digit RSS shooter for a few years now. There was an article in the Washington Arm Collectors (WAC) monthly rag about a local gunsmith in Wa. that did case coloring and bluing, so without many gun shows locally I needed something to do, and I sent it to him for a restore. For less than $400 he blued the barrel, gate and cylinder, and case hardened/colored the frame & hammer. I had the ERH I had purchased from Mr. Findley a while back and the grip frame & grips were "extras" waiting for proper use.
Shoots a bit to the right, but I will drift the rear sight to fix.
I really enjoy making these old trashed guns in to something that looks nice.
A before, and 3 after pics.
Cheers,
JAY
