Terry,
Thanks for the info, I looked at my letter again just now and it does also say it is a .380 Spl. Also, Ruger lettered my India SS-382L as "Our records indicate this Police Service Six was shipped in November 1984 as model SDA-382, caliber .380" . The gun is a Speed Six and is roll maked Ruger Speed Six and Cal .380 Rim :D

Guess I have some work to do.

Terry:
Does the subject gun at the beginning of this thread have a stepped barrel crown? Or is the crown normal.
For some reason, it looks like a heavy barrel.
Sure looks like it could be an SDA-34MB to me.

Chad,
My screw up I'm sorry, I thought I had responded to your question, apparently not  It letters as an SDA-34, but I have some doubt's. I have some new info that I'll get posted tomorrow.

I just bought a RDA-34 with German Proof Marks from WMG. I am going to post on it when I get
the letter back from Ruger.

Chad,
My SDA-34 has this type of muzzle minus the front sight. This is a picture of the RDA-34 German Proof Marked gun's muzzle.
I measured a couple of HB-34 revolvers and they were 0.705 - 0.707 at the muzzle & 0.760 - 0.762 at the cylinder frame.
The SDA-34 measures - 0.630 at muzzle, 0.705 at the cylinder frame. The RDA-34 is 0.640 - muzzle & 0.715 at the cylinder frame. So not HB revolvers.

Note the Shipping Order copy, to Hamilton Associates, Canton Ohio on June 7,1978. The order was for 55 SDA-34 revolvers, this shipment contained 25.

Thanks Terry for verifying.
Should be some MB guns out there somewhere, thought that might have been one of them.
Can't miss it when you see it as they have a stepped muzzle crown.
