LCR DAO

Post by zebra55 »

Just bought one of those LCR Double Action Only revolvers in 38 Spc. It is amazingly light, which is surely the goal for a carry gun. That said, I went out and shot 50 rounds through it today, has a bit of a jump to her. Takes a bit to get used to, but fun to shoot.

That’s a really good choice! I’ve been carrying one since they first came out. Mine came with the red fiber optic front sight ….. a big help for older eyes.

Congratulations.

A good friend of mine has recently gotten 2 Ruger LCR revolvers and is looking at a 3rd. He has one of the .38+P models with Crimson Trace Grips and a .38+P LCRx. He is debating a LCR in .22LR as well. He likes the ones he has and I am trying to convince him to join the ROCS

I just bought one in 38spl +p yesterday and I'm glad I didn't take it in 357 Mag.

357 Mag in combination with a short barrel and low weapon weight is not what I need on a daily basis..... 8-)

The 357 LCR has the metal frame and are much heavier.

I had Ruger’s boot grips on mine and shooting full factory 357s through it with boot grips was unbearable.

Traded it for the 38 Special +P with the polymer frame. Easier to carry and much more mild to shoot …. At least for me.

Agree with Hittman, I like the 38 Special. Controllable, comfortable to carry and I feel well armed loaded with +P.
