I have 2 spare standard size bolts, one with a full height rim on one side of bolt face, the other is much lower. Anyone know it reason why?

I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but the one with the full height rim looks to be a push feed and the other one looks to be a controlled feed.

Thanks. I thought all mkii were controlled feed. Would you know how to find out which/ what type of mkii it would be for?

My MKII has the lower rim (push fed).

I am mistaken, both versions of your bolts are controlled feed. The push feed would have a plunger ejector in the bolt face instead of the ejector slot that yours have. Controlled round feed began with the Mk II series and also in the Hawkeye series. However, I could not tell you which type those bolts are from.

Here's 2 photos of a couple of bolts from 2 of the 10 or so MK ll Express Rifles I've owned. Of the 10 rifles, 3 were push feed and 7 were controlled feed, They were all made between 1992 and 2002. I've owned 1 other MK ll that was a stainless Zytel stocked 264 made in 1999. It was controlled feed.

Bumping to try again to attach photos. I think first time they were too large.
