I just found a laminated model at a pawn shop here in Florida in really good condition and need some advice on =how good they really shoot`. It has a 4x12 scope on it and I was told it had all the paperwork and the box which I think should be a hard case. This is the first custom shop 10/22 I have run across and was thinking about going back to look at it. Anyone out there who has shot one please let me know. This is the model with laminated stock and now the painted laminated stock. I did not check the bedding with a dollar bill but it did look tighter on one side.
Thanks

No pictures yet but it is a model 31127 brown laminated stock. Anyone shot one to give me an idea of how they shoot.

Re: 10/22 Custom Shop
Thanks, Jay for the advice! She did the paperwork and let me pay for it. Now have to wait until Thursday to go pick it up. This is my first factory gun from the custom shop. I can remember talking to Mike Fifer several times about bringing back the finger groove sporter because of how good the forearm would feel in my hand. It is good to think I may of had some influence in the stock on these guns. Mine has a serial number ending in 437. Not sure how many of these have been made so far. I would like to hear from others who have one of these competition models 31127.

Charlie congrats on your first Custom Shop, I bet it shoots great. I like they've brought the Finger-Groove forearm, hopefully they'll put out more models with it. Is this the one you're picking up? Here's a link to Ruger’s spec sheet on it if you haven't seen the info on it yet: https://ruger.com/products/1022Competit ... 31127.html

That is it and it still has all the paperwork and everything it shipped with it in its own hard case. Looking forward to getting time to get it to the range.

Re: 10/22 Custom Shop
Congratulations on your new shooter. I think you will love it. I bought a nib custom shop 10/22 in the lefty version. What an awesome piece. First time out 10 rounds at 25 yards could be covered with a quarter. The left hand magazine is a bit of a pain, but a left hand custom shop at a non custom price.....Awesome.
