Lipsey .257 Weatherby

Post by Nomosendero »

Anyone here have one? Mine is a real shooter and I love the 28" barrel for this cartridge! It is quite a hammer for Deer and it and my Lipsey .264 are favorites for point and shoot rifles (not clicking up) out to 500yds.

Comparing notes since I have one if I had to choose between your 2 choices. Actually, asking about personal experiences only from those who have one. I have been very impressed with the accuracy, 1/2" (3shot) groups at 100 yds. with factory 100 gr. ammo, will try 100 gr. TTSX handloads before season hopefully.

That 257 WM with that 28” bbl will definitely be a screamer and is on my list of future No 1’s.
Good luck with that.

Yep got one of the 257 WM with 28" barrel. Haven't shot it yet though. Bought it to replace my Lipsey 264 WM that I sold. Made $1500 on the exchange...

Indeed, I believe 3800 with a 100 gr. TTSX with RL26 is not out of reach, we shall see!
