How many different K1RSI’s were made?

Post by Bob257 »

Am I right in assuming that there were only 3 regular run K1RSI’s produced?
308 Wim
6.5x55 mm
257 Roberts
Also the special run 30-40 Krag RMEF (ss/blue bbl)
How many of each were made.

These are the only 2 I know for sure reported production number, do not see the same certificate for the 257 Roberts.

Sorry RocDoc I see you included the 308 but I believe the 257 Rob which is #21318 was also included in the K1RSI’s.
I was wondering if there were anymore?

Yes on 257, one of the three K1RSI Lipseys exclusives. Unsure of # produced on the 257 as I cannot find a certificate Lipseys sometimes provides for their exclusives.

For the 30-40 RMEF there were 60 made. Each rifle hand engraved and indicates the number of 60 made on the receiver. Here's mine with my lyman grade 1...

Apparently 1 or 2 factory made K1RSI 30-06 exist, made years before the Lipseys editions, but never in production obviously.

What a beautiful pair of rifles. That RSI is fantastic. I will own one someday. Thanks for sharing.
Question: did all the Lyman rifles come with a cheek piece like that?

Only the grade I's, the grade II's have standard stocks.
To date, this has been the only RSI RMEF I have ever seen for sale. I've never regretted buying it...
