28 GA Box

Post by Highstandardguy »

I came across a box with everything. I would like to reunite it with the shotgun. Let me know if you need a box and we'll see if we have a match.

That is a really nice gesture, but a long shot.
How about the 1st few numbers to narrow it down. Like 420-ABXXX. At least then, it's a 1/1000 shot, but it would make me take a look at my 28's. Tom and I could give you 10 or 15 numbers for 28 gauges and not even be in the ballpark!

Sure, 420-153xx. Just trying to see that it goes to the right person. It has a full tube and two skeet tubes so I suspect the shotgun is out there with mod and imp cyl chokes. It's a Fifty Years box. I know it's a long shot but I hope someone would do the same for me. It's a shotgun I would love to own but they're a little pricey for me.

Back story. Shotgun sold used about a year ago in NC. Store was cleaning out their backroom and found the box. They were unsuccessful in contacting the buyer based on the year old contact information they had. I saved it from the trash.

The closest thing I have with no box is 800 guns off. Hope you find the gun that matches it, but is a very long shot as they made around 23,000 28 gauges

I didn't know they made so many 28s. I have it listed on several forums. I'll wait a few days and then maybe put it out on FleaBay. Have to take some pictures. The box is nice but not perfect. Everything inside pretty much is.

It does have a red L hand marked on the label. Anyone know what that means?

Okay, I found a box to ship the box in. I guess I'll put it up for auction. Anyone have any idea what it might be worth?

I have no use for the chokes. Will probably list as a combo when I sell. Just trying to get some clue as to what to sell it for. Need to decide on auction or forum ad.
