Jay, I'm still working on our trade. Hoping to make it happen before Ohio but it's heavy farming season now and he's been difficult to reach.

Hello, going through past posts I came across the hood ornament. I've had this one since 2003 when I purchased off ebay. My notes state Bill Ruger Sr. gave two of these to the individual I purchased mine from. This individual lives/lived in Prescott, AZ.

Excellent piece!!
My question would be, did Richcraft Burbank Buckles make them or did Bill take a couple of buckles and have them done up ? Either way I doubt if more than a few were made. JMO

That is definitely a very cool peice, it has the same markings as the smaller belt buckle which measures 1 1/2". What's the size is it? Here's pics of the 2 SS Richmond buckles that I'm aware of.

The hood ornament is the exact dimensions of the dress buckle but with the mounting post. 67stingray shows the dress buckle in his post above on the left.
What is interesting about his picture concerning the dress buckle below the registered trade mark is a 1. I took out one of mine for comparison of hood ornament and it has a 4 below the registered trade mark
