My Type 1 Flat Gates

Post by JAYDAWG »

The type 1 RSS revolvers......

My favorite Rugers

One from Dec. 1953
Four from Feb 1954 with a pair of consecutive SN's
Two from March 1954

The 4 digit in front is a Turnbull restore.
The back left is the Dec 1953 gun restored by Bobby Tyler.

Guess I need a few from January 1954 :) (Please help if you can!)

Happy New Year

Cheers,
Jay

Very nice looking herd you have there and I hope it continues to grow :)

That is a great bunch of Flatgates!! The Dec 1953 is something special indeed. I have had and still have a pretty good group on Flatgates but never have found a 1953 gun...way to go!!

Thanks Men,
Like I said, my favorite group of Rugers!
The 5 original guns all have quite a bit of the neat red/gold coloring in the cylinder frames attributed to early metal mixing problems.
Wish I could take pics to do them justice!
Three of them have come from ROCS members right here on the forum. Much thanks :!:

Cheers,
JAY
