Drool worthy indeed! I think the plum and red guns look great. It's great that some owners did not take advantage of the offer Ruger made to refinish the parts that went off color.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Diagnosis: plum envy! Outstanding color and amazing condition.
Makes me want to spit when I think of the gorgeous NIB example I couldn't buy because of CA discrimination.
