Retired Tanker from NM

Post by Retired Tanker »

Been looking at this forum for years and think it is time to get my Ruger's introduced. I have been collecting mainly old C&Rs for about 30 years or so. Kinda changed the direction about 8 or 10 years ago and got into old BPCRs. I have a nice collection or Rolling blocks including some very hard to find. I have about a dozen or so nice Enfield Snider conversions. Several near mint Sharps 1863//68 50-70 carbines. Some very nice Martini-Henry//Enfields and some near perfect, very rare English Calisher & Terry Mathews patent Carbines in 577Snider. Now for the Ruger's I have always had a fondness for the 32-20 and the 32 H&R Mag. I have been working on having a collection of all the different models Ruger made in 32-20 or 32 H&R or the convertibles in those cartridges. I have only about 8 or 9 currently but they are all NIB except one I have been enjoying it for shooting and load checking. I also Like the Ruger #1s but for shooting //Elk hunting. I have several in 45/70; 6.5X55 Swede and a #3 in 375 Win. (Great for hunting with Speer 375 SP). I really have settled on a nice Ruger M-77 Mk 2 RSI stainless Steel, Mannlicher stock in my favorite hunting cartridge 6.5X55 Swede. Both the 6.5X55s are limited with only 285 of the #1 and 251 of the M-77 with the C of Authenticity for both. I am looking to gather more knowledge of the collectability of mainly the 32 H&R //and 32-20 WCF Revolvers. Thanks RT

Greetings Retired Tanker! Welcome to the greatest group of people with a passion for Ruger. We have fun so join in. Your other items are impressive too.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Welcome from Illinois.

I’ll show my ignorance and ask what exactly is a “tanker”? Truck driver who hauls liquids?

My grandfather was a trucker but always hauled livestock.
