Greetings from Vienna

Post by RugerfanAustria »

Hello @all.

My name is Markus,i'm 34 years old and I come from Vienna in Austria.

I am a big fan of Ruger and only own Ruger revolvers. As an Austrian, can you also join the Ruger Society and is there any interest in an Austrian member?

Best regards Markus

Welcome Markus, happy to have you aboard. We certainly welcome you to join ROCS. Please post away and tell us about the Rugers you own.

We would be honored to have you Markus. There are other European members and Ruger is loved world wide. SPAS15 is in England and a great guy. What kind of Ruger revolvers do you have?
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Thanks to everyone for the nice reception.

I own a Super Redhawk in 480 Ruger, Super Redhawk Alaskan 454 casull, Redhawk 44 mag, Super Blackhawk Hunter 44 Mag, GP100 44 Special and a Sp101 with a concealed hammer. The Super GP100 has been ordered and should arrive in Austria in December 2021.

In Austria it is not that easy with the weapons because you normally only get two pistols, revolvers or semi-automatic weapons allowed from the government. To be able to own more weapons you have to prove that you are a sport marksman or a collector. Now i have 7 places for pistols, revolvers or semiautomatic rifles but my dream is, to expand as a official collector next year in my country for Ruger Revolvers.

In my library i have:

That is a great looking group of Ruger revolvers. I do believe you like those big bores! We do not realize how blessed and fortunate we are to live in a country where we can own all of the firearms that we please. I sure hope that you can obtain Official Collector Status in your country where you can own more Rugers. Your library is impressive too, you really have some great books.

Thank you flattop44.

In the USA it is far better than in Austria.

Some weapons should be ordered as a young person so that you can still get them in this life because of the delivery time and also with the prices that the wholesalers charge you can easily get scared.

Our general importer in Austria:

https://shop.rohofwaffen.at/kurzwaffen/ ... r-revolver

For example my ordered Super GP100 chambered in 357 Magnum

Price USA 1749 $

Price Aut 2407€=2826$

Welcome from the U.K.

You have come to the right place. Great club and a great bunch of people. If you like Ruger’s you will fit right in.

From your photo it seems your gun laws are far better than here in the U.K.
