Very nice. Is there a chance you could show a pic of the label, I have seen a couple of different ways thr 6 1/2 inchers were market.

Yes Sir...............

we've seen them marked, ,unmarked, white sticker and written in with a 6 1/2..........
never saw any with the shipper ,but had heard from those that have them, different ways theirs are marked, ,but like anything else, markings, blackening, writing, and stickers can be applied anytime, by ANY one............and of course, Ruger never called them an S-46 or make them a catlog item, thus their OWN labels, mistakes are mistakes,Ruger never threw anything away.........

(ha ha , knew of a gun smith that was hired to disposed of LOTS of "stuff" that was in the warehouse, brass frames and other stuff on pallets) so I have to say "never say ,never" holds true..... 8-)

another guy I knew ,his name was Mike, got into the grip business many years ago, by going through S&Ws trash bins

Thanks Dan. I have one with tape over the 7 1/2 and 6 1/2 is written on the tape. Have a couple that the 7 1/2 is just blacked out and 6 1/2 written in. the only shipper I have seen for a 6 1/2 incher was when I picked up number 25 long frame that came with the black and red box but the shipper was stamped as a Super Blackhawk 6 1/2 inch. Go figure ;)

That's a real nice package! The one I have just has a black line drawn through the 7 1/2".

Great find Dan. My 6 1/2" box has the number 6 written with a dark marker above the 7. Mine also has the shipper addressed to a Sargent in the Warren, Ohio police Dept. it was mailed directly to him with a Southport, Conn. postal stamp on November 30, 1968 and cost $1.75 to mail!! Serial number 25960. Brass Frame/Lee
