Had a shot at a late 1951 T514...looked to be in excellent 95%+ condition SN-28568, however had vanilla plastic Non-OEM grip panels.
Hard to get a winning bid when a professional gunsmith also wants it, beating the 15-minute rule 28X after 12 minute intervals (4.5 hrs of bidding process)?!?
Just curious from anyone what a possible value might be. Did I let a good deal slip through my hands??

Should be about $550 to $600. Depends also on the bolt type - regular or tapered ear.
Thanks TEMIII! Though few and fair, the pics appear to show it had tapered bolt ears.
Guess once I added OEM proper period grips and all (recessed Red Eagle Medallion-paperwork-box), I'd easily have over $1K sunk into the investment. Possibly a collectable, I would still be taking it to the range with my other Mk series of fun!!
Mine is a 6.5L stainless bowl, Vevor I believe is the maker. $150-ish, cheaper than a good scope. Buy as large as you can afford. I use distilled water and about a tablespoon of an organic jewelry-rated liquid soap. Food grade clean. Skim off any oils that migrate to the surface.
NEVER use a flammable solvent. Remember a complete re-oiling is required, not just contact points.
It is a Right, NOT a permit.

According to Chad Hiddleson's Encyclopedia, the earliest date of manufacture for those with regular bolts was July 1, 1952. The earliest s/n is 26532. The tapered ear bolts start at 27601.

Thanks TEMIII,
Really appreciate your quick response! I Finally have a copy of Chad's Encyclopedia coming and will use as a reference for myself and a few friends who started collecting Ruger historical pieces!!
I will say that Chad's Encyclopedia is one of my favorite reference books for what I consider to be the best .22 Pistol ever made. Thanks for putting it together Chad.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...
