Which is the old timer?

I had this Ruger Blackhawk .45 Colt built up about 1987 or 1989. After making this photo at the time and observing it, I thought at the time that the Ruger looked more like an old Colt than the Colt did:

I've had a few bird dogs (GSH's) in my day that had all four legs that wouldn't come when called at the end of a good hunting day!
