A 44 Special by Hamilton Bowen

Post by Doc4429 »

I collect mainly revolvers in 44 Magnum caliber (Ruger and S&W), but most enjoy shooting guns in 44 Special. The gun below started out as a .357 Magnum and was converted to 44 Special with a 4-inch barrel and lanyard ring by Hamilton Bowen. It is a fun gun to shoot and carry. :)

Oh man, that is a beauty. Hamilton's work is outstanding. I have one that he did for me too, a 4-5/8" barrel and case hardened by Turnbull, As you say, it really shoots. I sure like those stags that you have on yours too.

Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

A very nice conversation with great looking stags. Not crazy about the lanyard though.

I like the lanyard, will be doing an experiment on a junker frame to see if I can do a decent job on my own....IF I find a source for one. Makes me think of Sgt Preston and King

Doc, Go to Bowen Classic Arms, Hamilton will sell you one. He sells various parts off of his website.
