Blackhawk with gold anodized grip frame
Interesting Blackhawk it's a gold anodized grip frame not brass. I have only heard of a few guns being shipped this way.

Beautiful Blackhawk, I really like the character the gold anodizing brings to it. I wish there more of them made, any idea how many is out there?

Rick that is nice....
The only other one I have seen is on the #4 Single Six or it could have been the 357 Blackhawk #4...
Been a few years ago I got to see the serial number 4 collection....
Somewhere I have a grip frame just like this for a New Model......RR

Don't forget.... Verzal's is an XR3-RED
The #4 Single-Six is XR3.
If somebody can help with posting a pic for me, I'll show you three different colors in the same pic.

Re: Blackhawk with gold anodized grip frame
Chad, mine is a greenish gold. I know of another single six other than Steve's and I'm just going by memory it's more gold in color than my Blackhawk and I believe it is magnum marked. My Blackhawk came from an older gentleman I know and I bought his collection. He had purchased it new from a company called Warshalls in Seattle. I've had the gun a few years now and forgot I had it till I was searching my photo gallery for something else.

Yeah... The Magnum marked Single-Six that I know with gold anodized grip frame is also an "S" gun. Is that the one you speak of?
I'm not sure how to post an image, but can do so of a pic I took of a gold, red and green anodized XR3 grip frame of Bob Dearden provenance. The red and the green never had the grip locator pins installed. These were made about the time Browning, High Standard and Remington were marketing different colors of anodation on their aluminum receivers.
