NRA special edition takedown

Post by LDB »

I have a 10/22 takedown that is the NRA Special Edition from I believe 2014. It was exclusive to Gallery of Guns. I don't know how many were made or anything about it. Other than it is cool and so far unfired. Would a letter from Ruger give details on number made etc.? Any other sources I might check? Thanks for any input.

A letter from Ruger usualy only gives you the model number, ship date, and where it was shipped to. Chad might be able to answer your question about the number made.

LDB - Here is your good reason for sending for the letter (as I stated in your other post). It gives you a starting place to do research.

What I know about them is that it was a Davidson's Gallery of Guns offering in 2014 with NRA on the bolt instead of the 50th logo. Has NRA prefixed serial number and Natural Gear camo with high-viz sights an a coyote tan carring case. My understanding is that Davidson's and Ruger both donated $10 to the NRA for every gun sold, I've seen serial numbers ranging from NRA201xxx to NRA205xxx. I imagine there's a few out there, neat 10/22.

I sent a message to Davidson's through their Contact page asking for any information. I'm going to request a letter from Ruger also. That's it, brown case, camo stock, S/N NRA2057XX. I guess mine is toward the end of the run.
