One of the biggest Old Model revolver collections ever ! Very minimal on .22's but what a grouping of Flat Tops, Super Blackhawks, Hawkeyes and regualar Blackhawks. Many are in original boxes. For Supers Blackhawks: #31 Long Frame, #46 Regular Frame, 6-1/2", 4 white boxed Supers, documented brass frame Super, 1 of 75 Anniv., 50th Anniv., 1 of 500 boxed IHMSA, and many more. Flat Top 44's: #55, many 10" including a consecutive pair, plus 7-1/2". Flat Top 357's: 10" models including the rare 8 groove variation, and low 4 digit numbers; some with original stag grips. Hawkeyes (3), brass framed examples, pair of Dubber engraved Old Armys, both of Elmer Keith's #15 Old Armys (stainless and blued with brass frame), Bearcat Convertible, Buckeye Sports models and many more great Rugers. If you can't find something you want in this offering, you really don't want much. The Rugers are primarily on day #3 which is August 7th. There are many class 3 Rugers on day 1 and 2. The # 31 SBH is listed as Bob Dearden's originally.
The #46 SBH to Jack Packard until 1985 when it went to James Smith........

I suppose it wouldn't be proper to mention that I have a few very lonesome 31's begging me to re-unite more of the family. Apparently there was a rough period in their early lives that broke the family apart. Rudy Red Label 400-00031 was sent to the Tanko orphanage with his big brother Roger Red Label 410-00031 where they had a fantastic life with their older cousins Beatrice Bearcat 31, and her super younger sister Barbara Bearcat 91-00031. Dan and Laura made a great life for them until it was time for them to leave the "nest". When I visited them this year the Tanko's made the difficut decision to allow them to come to North Dakota after I promised I would take fantastic care of their very special children. If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dan and Laura "Ruger Queen" Tanko, I would urge you to visit some of the old RCA publications as Laura was a field rep for the RCA in the "old" days and had a great collection of Red Eagles and Bearcats. Dan probably knows more about every little part of the old Ruger's than anyone outside the factory, and is a true gentleman in helping other aspiring Ruger collectors. One of my prized items in the collection is a Ruger Standard cut away done by Dan and will be shown in Tulsa this year. Sorry, I got carried away, but suffice it to say that Dan and Laura would be disappointed if I didn't try get more of the clan back together. Of course I wouldn't ever try to unduly influence people during an auction, I just wanted to tell you "the rest of the story". Thanks to Dan and Laura for their friendship, guidance, and allowing me to carry on their amazing collection! BW

They are good friends and great folks. I remember some of Laura's RCA shows displays, they were outstanding.

Geez I remember finding the #96 box on ebay and I owned the gun.....
I got on the forum and asked for some slack and man I got pummeled
I did buy the box and no I didn't get cut any slack....I just paid more than anyone else But that was a long time ago....
I hope you get them all and no worries from me.....as I recall Dan was very critical of me for ask for slack....again it was a long long time ago and I am sure I deserved all the criticism being I was after everything.....you kinda remind me of my old self....buy them all and let GOD sort them out later GOOD LUCK my friend....
