That D party that represented the Union man or the Farmer is long gone, the Blue Dog Democrat.
The Nation has become so polarized in both directions that most everyone is tone deaf to the conversation when you try to bring it up over coffee or around the community. Here in IL we have enacted many "STATE" laws which are much more restrictive than the Federal laws concerning FFL requirements etc. and have several lawsuits pending in court. It will be interesting to see if the SCOTUS hears these cases and what the outcomes are.
