That picture was taken by Carl Laco at the Phoenix, AZ NRA show in 2009, just a few months before Joe Bowman passing.

What kind of revolvers was Joe known to carry?

Re: Joe Bowman Bullet Art
He used a pair of Blackhawks, not sure what else but am sure one of our more distinguished members will know.

Another Joe Bowman picture! I believe John was Joe's favorite target.
Re: Joe Bowman Bullet Art
LOVE the sign art. I recognized many of the signatures.
I met Joe a few times at the Ruger booth during SHOT,, AND attended one of his shows at a SASS match. I was one of the volunteers who held a paper plate for him to shoot at. I have the plate,, signed by him, as well as other stuff.
Joe was a super nice guy, who'd talk to you as if he'd known you all his life. And he & I spent a fair amount of time together at the Ruger booth. He gave me one of his DVD's, signed some stuff,, & in general, spent a lot of time sharing our passions. He used different Rugers for different purposes. He had more than one or two sets. All modified to his needs.
I'll have to dig out a few items, take a few pics & post them.
