Terry Tommy didn't have a chance I just couldn't catch him
What a great guy and his love of chasing RUGERS was almost on par with ME
Unbelievably he called me from the hospital and was worried about me as I was having some serious issues at the time....
He passed that night I never got to talk with him again but if there is a gun show in HEAVEN I might get too I am sure he has all the nice ones lined up....
I remember his first show in Harrisburg....WOW 2 or 3 tables full of boxed 357's and I mean FULL unbelievably full and he didn't win the novice class as Jerry from VA had a two gun display and won.....Tom was devastated....Jerry was in disbelief....both wonderful guys too....I have meet so many great guys through collecting it has been super fun but hard when you loose them....
I would liked to have met Tommygun.......If he were a friend of Rod's, I'm sure we would have gotten along real well!!
Cool story, and Tommygun got the #49 BKH3 at this auction. There were no #59 guns in KY according to the auctioneers list (attached).
So, dig deep Radical One, & rack the brain........where did the #59 guns come from?
Did you chase them all over and put the set together, of get a bunch at once??
Bet you didn't know there was going to be a quiz......

I do not "own" these guns, I am but the next caretaker
That was a great auction, I will never forget that one, the Don Black collection! I remember the first time several of us met Tommy, as I remember he just walked up to a group of us told us who he was and why he was there. He was really a great guy.

Well no they were not at the auction.....I had to buy boxed and shippered guns to trade another guy for them....
and you know how hard they are to find....
Now, this is the stuff I was talking about, amazing to read about the old hunting trips the crazied Ruger collectors have gone on. More of this please, and more on "Tommy Gun', I would love to hear the stories! Bill
How about a RUGER ROAD TRIP visiting a friend and we ended up in a tool shed looking at the #4 guns all piled on a work bench....
And a Tommy story...he was warned to stay away from me because I was the "DEVIL" which I find funny and sad....we got along famously once he found out they were wrong....truthfully I have never felt like I was really in the "CLUB" but that doesn't mean I haven't had fun I chase what I like and buy what I like sell what I like because it makes me happy and have meet some really nice people....and some south end of a north bound horse too....We should also mention Dave from Ohio heck I can't remember his last name (just remembered Whittman) I traded a 65 Corvette for most of his collection....he was an absolute wild man....that trade included a 10"44 Super Blackhawk....Jimmy Shaffer taught me that cheap whiskey out of plastic bottles tastes just like the good stuff after several bottles of the good stuff....I have rambled enough for now....have a great 4TH OF JULY

I believe I owned .357 Blackhawk #59 and RSS #59 for a few years beginning in the late 1990s when I purchased them from Lynn Laudise.

Bill,
I appreciate the response.
Do you remember if you sold them to Rod?
Any other names anyone can think of regarding these two?
I would very much like to add a list of past owners to the file on these guns,
record the provenance if I can.
