When I received this 1975 T-512W Mark I, it was a sad sight. The grips didn't match and the right panel wasn't factory and missing a screw. It desperately needed a deep cleaning and some TLC as the action had a slightly gritty feel to it. Thanks to Don F. I was able to round up a beautiful set of factory Walnuts w/ thumb rest and a new set of screws. I love the dark band that runs around them at the palm. Thank you, Don! Here she is in the rough.

Rod, thank you. Looking forward to chatting with you again in person if you make Ohio or Tulsa later this year! I couldn't agree more about Don. He's been one of the two most influential people in fueling my Ruger collecting fire and I owe him many thanks.

That one looks ready for the field. I can hear it calling to the squirrels already! The diamond grip is a Herrett I believe. My T512 was a 1970 vintage that I sold for some things for the family years ago. It was deadly on squirrels with my last outing getting 3 with 5 shots. You could probably do the same easy with that fine piece!!
