Factory Photograph

Post by d findley »

Serial number 3. Original owner, John Boudreau. I got this Factory photo from Jean Boudreau, John's widow. Featured are the 5 major component parts that make up the Ruger 22 pistol. Taken before parts were stamped "3". The magazine is a modified High Standard with base held in place by 2 pins. 1949.

Don, What a great piece of provenance to go with your #3. I cannot wait to see the gun in person and on display in Tulsa!
If that gun could only "talk", we could ask so many questions about Ruger. How many modified Hi Standard magazines have you seen or know about that still exist? These very early production guns are so different from today's modern production pieces. Lots of nostalgia here! Thanks for sharing Don. Brass Frame/Lee
