Sad news indeed, he sure has had it rough these last few months. Prayers are going out for his family. He was truly a character, I sold Jeff his first Ruger .44 Flattop at a gun show in Nashville back in 1986. I sure will miss my old friend!

Always enjoyed his reviews and honest talk about firearms. He is in the land of perfect scores and trophy bucks now. Sorry to see he is gone

I had the pleasure of getting to know Jeff a bit over the years. Always fun, down to earth, and quick with a comment. Yet,, when we weren't picking at each other a bit,, and were serious,, you could see he truly enjoyed firearms & all the things AND especially the people involved.
RIP my friend!

A niceguy to echo others here...
We met awhile back with the Prescott business (Ruger and Davidson's) and can say he understood firearms factories and small builders with a business acumen shared by few gun writers.
He leaves a dent in today's gun review genre that won't be filled by anyone soon.
Best to his family and those who will miss his opinions.
