A few years back, I picked up an 50th Anniversary model 10-22; it's a model 01184, with a hydro-dipped laminate stock (a gray-green pattern resembling scales). I put aside, thinking I'd use in a some future project - however, I'm now wondering if I'd be better served by keeping it as-is; I believe it to be a distributor exclusive, thus a somewhat limited number of this model were produced. (FWIW, this is not one of the "Design Contest" versions.)

It's not an NIB rifle, but it has had fewer than 200 rounds through it; I don't have the box, although I did keep the label from it which has the model & serial #.

So... I have to decide whether to keep it unmolested or start the modifications...

The 1184 was a pink laminate stock. Try plugging your serial number into Ruger's serial number lookup page and let us know what model number it comes back as. It is possible they shipped as an incorrect model.

Sound's like someone changed to stock on it before you got it this point I would use it as a project gun and enjoy it. Got any picture of the stock?
