HOOTERS

Post by doccash »

Now that I have Donnys attention, This absolutely gorgeous Long-eared Owl landed in front of my Canon 7DMkii today while out in the deer patch. This is a rare bird in the Texas panhandle. Enjoy. Dr.C

We call that a Great Horned Owl in northern Ohio. I have seen some up to 30" tall and a fierce predator. They can take a rabbit or feral cat in one hit. Strictly night hunters, but have an eerie sound. Thanks for the beautiful photo. Lee E
