Ruger T678 Mark 1. Serial number 72xxx. This gun has tapered ear bolt that is correct for serial number range. The odd feature is it has type 1 red eagle grips. Seller said it was an employee gun and it was shipped from Connecticut to me. Would like to know the story behind this one.

Congratulations! A great score.
The ad didn’t even mention the box. Double score.

Yes indeed… there’s just something about those red eagles and chrome escutcheons

I agree with both of you. I bought this one just for the grips. Those grips are about as rare as hens teeth.

I'd like to think the Employee chose to put those early panels on the gun.......
