Donnie, this is a great looking package of an early Target model. Hard gun to find in this condition with box and papers.

That's a hinged box. Very few survived.

I love the way these look and balance.....I bought my first one years ago from Don sort of.....saw it on his table went back and it was gone.....then I spotted it on the boys from Louisiana table Jan and his buddy.....they told me it wasn't for sale but when I made them an offer it amazingly was for sale    maybe I offered too much.....RR

Don that is a beauty. The T514 balances well in the hand and isn't bad to carry in the right holster. I was supposed to get one that belonged to a family friend but when he passed it went poof along with his 1953 vintage RST4. Both had the tapered ear bolt. Neither had the boxes but there was an original instruction sheet that was with them. The holsters were Lawrence and were excellent. The owner was left-handed, so I made a slight adjustment to the ejector to keep the ejected brass out of his face. After I fixed the problem for him, he was so happy that he promised me both pistols when he passed. It never happened so someone ended up with 2 great Ruger pistols....

No matter who owns it, it's one heck of a package that is rarely seen these days.
Thanks for sharing.

Great package and presentation! It remains my opinion that this model should have never left the factory catalog and build schedules............
