RSSE flat wire strut/spring
Re: RSSE flat wire strut/spring
It's been years since I've seen one of these hammer springs done this way. Wes Flowers (RIP) was a Fast Draw Gunsmith in Arizona that used to lighten the hammer spring this way instead of cutting coils...
Re: RSSE flat wire strut/spring
Yessir! Fond mems of our buddy, Wes Flowers That spring is the king of after market springs ..............

Re: RSSE flat wire strut/spring
I had never heard of him. Thanks for the info. A google search reveals he was very well liked, and did an amazing job "short stroking" SAA revolvers, was such a fast draw that he trained actors and was so fast he was in a video game in the mid 90's as the last level to beat!
After comparing to "stock" hammer pull on other RSS's I would say about 20% lighter, so maybe someone used this one in some cowboy action at one time!
