From the looks of at least the high polish gate and the neckfeather medallions, falls right in line with the others known that were shipped in April 1967.
Neat guns!! Ruger had plans to plate these because of the purple frame and only ended up plating around 125 of the SC6's.
But the other 125 or so purple framed guns that didn't get plated had already been prepped for plating with their high polish, so when Ruger decided it was too much hassle to plate these guns (added too much thickness on areas like the cylinder base pin hole, and etc.), they stamped them with an "S" and shipped them out in early 1967.
