Tri color no. 98

I just acquired my first two-digit OM Single Six; SN 200098. The cylinder and frame are in nice shape but there is pitting on the barrel and ERH and scuffs on the grip frame. The hammer has an all blue finish, which is unusual and it looks like it may be unfired
It was shipped on May, 1958, to Dade City Hardware in Florida. Records could not find the original invoice so there's no other onformation on it.
The seller was a GS just across the peninsula in Melbourne who acquired it from a woman who found it in a relative's estate cleanup named Macarthy.
So many questions.

Some names involved with #98 Randy Smith a Kansas Ruger dealer/collector and the other one are just initials "KM" who was a Ruger employee.....

Thanks, y'all, for your comments, especially Coogs for the name association. I wonder if KM was a Macarthy?
Apparently the gun was covered with "calcified" factory grease which the seller had a gunsmith remove.
I'm curious about the all blue hammer; I've never seen that on a factory Six before. Was it a special mod for an employee? If so, why wasn't it shipped to Rody's?
I'm sure a decent, correct replacement barrel will be hard to find but I'm thinking of restoring it to a higher level. Any advice on that going down that road?
I won't see it until next week, then it sits in jail for ten days. This is certainly a lucky find and I'm a very happy camper.

Did the local GS ask if there was a box?
It might be worth having them get ahold of the person who brought it in and ask................

Been thinking about the box, too. Definitely have to ask - that would be somethin', huh?
