Question on a 1AB in .223

I’m a new guy around here and stumbled across the forum- have no idea how I haven’t seen it before. I’ve been a fan of the No 1 for a good long time (currently have models in .375 H&H, .45-70 and .450 Bushmaster) and have a No 1AB in .223 coming to join the family. I haven’t seen much written on them so does anyone out there have any good info on that model/caliber? I haven’t seen much on any sort of production numbers or common occurrence out in the wild, as opposed to models like the 1V. Any new or neat info would be appreciated!
Thanks
Goopy

The 1AB in .223 was a scarce model. None of the prefix AB's were around that long, but the .223 may rank as the scarcest.

You need to purchase the book written by Joe Clayton on Number 1 rifles. As said many times before on this forum, "Buy the Books"
It is full of data, photos, and numbers. Brass Frame/Lee

Copy that Brass Frame/Lee.
Sometimes it's a bit more expeditious and fun to exchange questions and comments on a forum though...sorry to have wasted anyones time.

Goopy,

Folks like Lee, and most here, have spent a lot of time investing in Ruger knowledge, through interacting with others and researching books written by those who have passed their experience and knowledge on to us.
In fact, most of the authors of these books are forum members.
Like any other interest or hobby, the more you learn, the more you can enjoy.
His suggestion was simply meant to further your enjoyment and understanding of your inquiry.

It is only a waste of time if you believe it is.........

Cheers, '
